But in thinking a little deeper, I'm grateful for parents who have been so kind and generous to let us live with them while we figure our lives out, for employment when so many do not have even that, for medical insurance to take care of Ryker's needs and dental for my needs, for the truth and knowledge of the gospel and the blessings of the priesthood ordinances through Erick and I's sealing, and for the kindness and friendship of many who make every day a little more bearable when things get tough. I'm grateful that we don't have war on our soil like so many other places, that I can go to a grocery store full of food and buy what I want, even on a limited income, for heating and cooling, clean water to drink, technology to stay connected with family and friends, and for the blessing it is to be able to care for my child without worrying about him starving or being neglected medically. . . the list goes on and on.
This year we spent Thanksgiving with Erick's family, which was sparse because of the different directions everyone moved to this year; it was hard to not have them there, but for who we did have, it was nice. Poor Larry was in a rehabilitation center after breaking his hip in a slip and fall accident on their entrance stairs so June ate dinner with us at the house and then went to be with Larry, where later, B.J., Erick, Ryker, and I went to visit Larry.
Ryker hanging out with Grandma
Ryker had fun playing with Taylor and then playing in Grandpa's wheelchair at the center but other than eating a few sweet treats, he didn't understand what all the hub-bub was about.

2011 has definitely been a year of trials but it had its many blessings too!!
Hey glad to see you blogging again. I know how you feel about this year being one filled with trials. But when we take the time to look there are so many things to be thankful for. Hope everything goes well for you in the coming year.
