Our summer has been a fun, stressful, frustrating, happy, relaxing, busy, mess of the year!! We started it off with a list of things we wanted to do, things we needed to do, and things we knew were coming and we should plan for. I would say in all, it was a good summer.

Neighborhood Party for the Kids in June |
We went camping for Father's Day, went to the Hyrum City 4th of July parade and totally made bank on the candy and objects we got, we went to Bear Lake and got fried, we went to Logan City's 24th parade, to the Willow Park Zoo, swimming lessons, to the Fat Boy factory, Pepperidge Farm outlet store, to the Michaelsen Reunion, and spent time with Erick's family (Maren, BJ, Jake, and Kirsten), and Erick's work party at the Wellsville waterslide. While some would say, that it wasn't much, we would disagree because these were the only things we could squeeze in with my new calling of Relief Society President. This calling has kept me hopping and jumping in a ward with constant movement of people. I've already in the 4 months I've been President, changed out my 2nd counselor and two of my Sunday instructors, moved six families, and helped with two ward parties.

Ryker's favorites were camping and swimming lessons. He was a natural in the pool, almost too comfortable for me since he decided he didn't need to stay with his class and would try to walk off to other parts of the pool. Erick enjoyed the family time since we only see some of his sibling but once a year. My favorite was all of the times we got out of the house and just relaxed.

However, I do love Fall and I am looking forward to the cooler temperatures, the soups, the holidays, and working with Ryker on his on-line preschool. I do not like that Erick is back in class tomorrow so I have to buck up and suck it up and deal with it, even though I know this is such a huge blessing. But a year from now we will be finishing up our last semester of Graduate school and on our way to doing the rest of our life sans school!
