Date Night

Erick and I decided Friday night to have a date night and paint the town. By the time we had our date we were too exhausted to "paint the town"! Anyway, we ended up going to the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City to go to their IMAX production of Under The Sea 3-D! This show is great - good for children and adults and it talks about the marine life found in the Coral Triangle and the Barrier Reef off of Australia. Jim Carrey does the narrating and the 3-D effects are really good. After the show, we walked through the gift area and found some fun toys to play with - such as the marshmellow guns and the stuffed animal version of viruses and bacteria (doesn't everyone want a stuffed animal version of Chicken Pox?!).

After the show, we went to The Counter, which is a gourmet burger restaurant at the Gateway. You are given a sheet that allows you to check what kind of meat, what size of patty, what kind of bun or bowl, sauces, cheeses, and toppings of all kinds. Our burgers were so large that we could barely get our mouths over them to eat them. Our burgers were around $8 but they were so yummy.

After we ate dinner, we walked the Gateway in an attempt to digest and ended up going into the Z Gallerie. This is a home decor store and we like some of what we saw, but the most interesting was the section with rhinestone skulls. These skulls were table cloths, candle holders, place mats, blankets, etc. We were guessing they were a possible option for decorating in the goth style or they were for pirate fans!

Can't wait for the next date night!!!
