5th of July Water Fight

I'm good at starting fights, water fights, and that is what I did; I planned early this year and planted the seeds of competition clear back in January with my niece and nephews and Erick. I knew I wouldn't be too involved because I was pregnant and would have Ryker by the time summer rolled around so I got the ball rolling and teased the kids that Erick could wipe the floor with them in a water fight. They loved it so much that they planned for the longest time about what types of water paraphernalia they would use to get Erick.

Erick went to the store and got the largest water gun he could get - this thing holds 8 pounds of water, shoots up to 40 feet, and has three nozzles on it. This gun was tested in the alley behind our apartment and then at Gauge's 2nd birthday party so we knew it would work really well. The 5th of July proved to be another day of infamy as all of the kids took Erick on with water balloons in the first 5 minutes and then spent the rest of the afternoon getting him wet, even in the "safe zones". Erick did his best to soak the kids and then he had a benevolent streak hit him and he shared his gun and used the water pitchers to douse the kids.

It was a fun day for everyone from the oldest to the youngest and I'm glad that I can start it and my husband can finish it!
