May 25, 2013 - My baby's big day - he has now turned 3 and I have to officially stop calling him my baby and call him my "Big Boy". Time went by so fast as others said it would and now I'm reeling from what has happened in that time. The thing that bothers me most is that if 3 years went by so fast, then how fast will the next 15 be before we send him on his mission? I've decided to become a little more focused on him and be a little more selfish with the activities we do with him because I want to enjoy them as much as possible and instill in my child how much Erick and I love him.
We started the day out with Mickey Mouse pancakes and a few presents, which just wet his appetite for more. We all got dressed and left for Sandy where we had lunch at the Crown Burger, because his favorite food is French fries and hot dogs. When lunch was over and he was satisfied with his grease intake, we took him to the Living Planet Aquarium. He loved it and so did we - his favorite exhibit was the penguins and the touch table where he got to touch a shark.

When we left the Aquarium he was so worn out he slept all the way home and then some (3:00 to 5:00 p.m.). We woke him up to have some pizza, his choice, and then we had family over for presents, cake, and ice cream. He asked us for a Percy Cake (Thomas the Tank Engine) and seeing what they cost in a bakery, I decided to do it on my own. I thought it looked great and everyone said it was yummy - especially the birthday boy. After everyone left, he got to play with his toys and then he happily passed out.

We love our sweet boy and how much he's learned and what he can do in such a short amount of time. We are so impressed with his kindness and love and he desire to help us out when we have work to do or if we are sad, how much he tries to comfort us. Happy Birthday Buddy!
